High Octane Folk-Punk 30 Jun 2008
Format:Audio CD
Did you like Joe Pesci in GoodFella's? Can you imagine if he was given a guitar (try a '37 Gibson Acoustic), put on acid and given a home recording studio. This would be the result...or something very like it!

Ed Hamell is a one-man whirlwind of spit, venom, fury, punk attitude, humour, dry wit and the sharpest eye of character since the late, great (and personal hero) Bill Hicks. The album plays like a pulp-fiction collection of short stories of back street Noo Yoik life and is a complete and absolute riot. Choochtown is probably the best place to jump into Ed's personal world of scaggy characters and lacerating lyrics. If you're still not sure, try you-tubing his track Blood of The Wolf. I guarantee you'll be amazed if not hooked. If you get the chance to catch him live...Do It!!
