5.0 out of 5 stars Chocolate is Sweet 3 Nov 2010
By Bill - Published on Amazon.com

Krista Detor's latest work is insidious. Bits and pieces of her work pop open in your mind: phrases, tones, melodies, ideas. And, they won't go away. The good thing is those pieces make you want to play the whole CD, rather than get a hook and pull them out of your ear.

She works with other talented artists. There is a nice balancing of their talents here.

This is a keeper for decades.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brims with the determination to sink her teeth into the fruit of life's offerings 25 Oct 2010
By Midwest Book Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Produced, Recorded & Mixed by David Weber at Airtime Studio, Chocolate Paper Suites is the latest music CD album by genre-defying artist Krista Detor, whose life reached a turning point at age 30, when her birth parents contacted and she discovered the rapture of freely choosing to pursue one's own dreams and live one's life to the fullest. Part of the genesis for the lyrics to the "Oranges Fall Like Rain" suite lies in when she languished in her cubicle-bound job as a real estate broker, looking down at an orange vendor and yearning to abandon her crushing daily grind to try something different. Chocolate Paper Suites brims with the determination to sink her teeth into the fruit of life's offerings, see the lands about her and craft something of wonder from the experience. The result is a captivating and inspirational treasury, highly recommended. The tracks are "Rich Man's Life" (4:04), "Lorca in Barcelona" (2:54), "Recklessness & Rust" (4:27), "Dazzling" (4:51), "All to do with the Moon" (3:25), "Teeter-Totter on a Star" (4:18), "Innuendo" (3:48), "Middle of a Breakdown" (3:35), "Deliver Me" (3:39), "A Hundred Years More" (2:55), "So Goes the Night" (5:07), "Small Things" (5:39), "From Miss Emma Brawley" (4:13), "Clock of the World" (5:35), and "Emma's Lullabye" (2:14).
