Book Description

5 Nov 2012
Say the name Chloe Sims and most people think of the hugely entertaining, bubbly and glamorous Essex girl on the hit TV show The Only Way is Essex. But there is more to Chloe than viewers see on the TV, and the drama doesn't stop when the camera stops rolling. Just two years ago, Chloe was a single mum struggling to make ends meet doing a string of jobs she hated and wondering if she would ever find happiness. Then, at the beginning of 2011, after joining the cast of TOWIE, she won the hearts of the nation with her funny ways and frank confessions. Since joining the cast, her life - which has been anything but ordinary - is now a whirlwind of glitzy parties and jet-set holidays, but life hasn't always dealt Chloe a good hand. Her story is one of triumph over adversity - with plenty of laughs along the way. From her turbulent childhood where she was raised by a neighbour after her mother abandoned her, to battling with bullies and struggling with an eating disorder, to the magical moment when she met the man of her dreams. But even the path to true love hasn't run smoothly for Chloe, and she has experienced plenty of ups and downs along the way. Finally, things are on the up and the future is looking bright for the 30-year-old Essex girl. In Chloe Sims: The Only Way Is Up, Chloe finally sets the record straight; speaking frankly about the plastic surgery she's had done, what it was really like working for Playboy France and how she coped with her rollercoaster ride to stardom - with plenty of shocking revelations and secrets she's never told...until now. This is her story, and it's not like any other you will read.

2.0 out of 5 stars A bit disappointing 9 May 2013
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I quite liked Chloe after seeing her on Towie she comes across as one of the nicer less bitchy girls. I was tempted to by this book after reading reviews saying how people hadn't realised what a tough life she had. However I didn't feel the book concentrated enough on the tougher times that were not relationship related such as her mother leaving and then getting in contact again, her bulimia, single motherhood. All these major topics seemed to come second to her relationship wi a man who very clearly has no respect for her. As lots of young girls look up to people like Chloe it was disappointing to read about her dropping everything to chase a man all around the world on his terms when he not only will he not even commit to her but he drives off leaving her crying in agony in an ambulance. She may think there is only one 'the one' but there isn't and she needs to ditch this man and show some self respect not have her daughter growing up thinking its ok for men to treat you this way.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time or money 5 April 2014
By Gina
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I actually liked Chloe before reading this book, but this time i really feel she has done herself no favour. The entire book is revolved around her palming off her child to chase a man who clearly isn't remotely interested in her. Whether he be around the corner, or across the other side of the world - Chloe goes after him, only to be let down time and time again. The funniest part is, even at the end she is still praising him and talking about their fabulous relationship when really there is no relationship there. I had Chloe down as a much stronger woman. I wouldn't have minded if this would have been a small chapter of the book but it's basically the whole story. Not worth your time unless you have a lot of it on your hands!

1.0 out of 5 stars Really like Chloe but really?! 25 Feb 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I really like Chloe but I can't believe she actually got a book deal.

It is so repetitive and I would imagine she wrote this herself as it was a child like book. I don't think she has had a hard life apart from being left by her mother at a young age and being a single mother. The rest is literally cringe worthy drama that you tell your close friends about and not publish for the whole world to see.

Moral of the story... Get a job and stick to it until something better comes along... Pay your rent.... Be in the right place at the right time and know when to move on. I am sorry but Mr Starship (rolling my eyes) is not worth the lickings of a dog.

I do think Chloe seems like a really nice person and she might have had an autobiography in another 10-20 years but right now she would have been better off just having a good gossip with her friends. Thank god I only paid 99p.

I can't believe 90% of this book is about a man who obviously doesn't give a toss and she's still hanging around putting hers & her daughter's life on hold, disappointed

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of time 26 Dec 2013
By Steph
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
The book was very repetitive. Only finished it as wanted to discover who Mr Starship was, however she didn't name him. She speaks of being a fulltime single mother, but only has her child Monday to Friday every week and drops her whenever a man wants her for weeks at a time. I felt sorry for the child and that is all, no kind of role model. Would not recommend.
