As the mother of a toddler who is a quarter Chinese I wanted a book to help me explain to her about Chinese New Year and it's traditions. It gives an excellent overview of the festival. It explains tradtions in simple terms that children can understand. It also covers the main differences in the celebtraions between north and south China. Leaders at my daughter's playgroup thought that this book would be ideal for them to purchase for future reference when talking to the children about Chinese New Year.
