5.0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING!, 21 April 2006

In my opinion, this is Marisa Mackle's best book. It offers a unique glimpse into the fickle life of a showbiz correspondence and shows how all the 'fun' parties you read about in the society magazines, are often as flat as the cheap champagne they serve, and where the guest 'celebrity' of the night is the local weathergirl on cable tv . Very well written with a twist that completely takes you by surprise.

I picked up another of Marisa Mackles books from the library at random, and I fell in love with this authors witty way of writting. All of her books including this one are fast moving, funny and clevely written to keep you glued to the page. I picked up this book because I had enjoyed her other book so much and I loved this book as much as the first. I finished this book in less than 24 hours! It was so easy and relaxing. Marisa Mackle keeps to the same sort of structure for each of her books but she manages to make every book completly different. The main character Fiona in this book was really easy to identify with and she was also hilarious and would spiel off like normal people. I would reccomend Marisa Mackle to anybody who enjoys a fast moving read! It is so hard to decide which book of hers is the best because they are all so amazing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, 27 July 2005
By
This review is from: Chinese Whispers (Paperback)
Having read all of Marisa Mackle's books, this is her best so far. It is about a girl called Bunny who becomes famous for going to parties and is soon sucked into a whirlwind life of champagne parties and schmoozing with celebs. However Bunny's abusive ex boyfriend is furious about her new party lifestyle and starts blackmailing her. Bunny's background and dodgy past is something that she would rather kept brushed under the carpet. So how can she keep up the hectic party lifestyle and get rid of her menacing ex? This is a gripping read injected with lots of laugh-out-loud moments from a talented novelist. POerfect for the holidays!
