Product Description

Product Description

Losing weight doesn’t have to be difficult. In this book we look at Chinese Medicine as food therapy, how it can be used to assist in losing weight, changing our eating habits and replacing them with good eating habits. Also there are valuable Western methods that I have developed and I tie it in with the ancient Chinese knowledge.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Chinese Medicine DIET 20 Jan 2013

I was quite impressed by the way the author explained the concept of how particular foods impacted particular parts of the body, why we have cravings, and how important it is to eat to "repair the body" rather than just to provide simple nutrition. This is really an informative book. Check it out if you have any curiosity about the body and how food affects it.

2.0 out of 5 stars For super super novice learners 2 Oct 2013

This book was lame. If you have a basic idea of how Chinese Medicine works, don't bother with this book. It's very short, doesn't go into much detail or science behind the theories, and generally I didn't walk away with any great knowledge.
2.0 out of 5 stars The Chinese Medicine Diet is Very Dissapointing 8 Mar 2014

What a great disappointment this book was. While I'm sure the author is a very nice man, the book is not good at all, and is practically unrelated to Chinese medicine. This book is mostly about how to follow a food guide pyramid, or a mostly low-fat diet. It has very little information about the Chinese way of looking at food and using it in terms of dampness heat, cold, individual patterns, etc. A far greater, and more informative book is Live In The Balance by Linda Prout. Once you read that book, you will understand why I have given this book such a low rating. There is simply no comparison! I give this little book two stars instead of one star based on the fact that I believe that the author is well-meaning, however, the book just doesn't cut it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Slight, and unreliable 19 May 2013

There are some good basic facts in here, but they're strung together with less-than-savvy narrative and flow. The level of writing was discouraging and made me feel less confident about using the book as a guide.
