Product Description

In late 2011, a major flood hit Bangkok. It was the worst flooding Thailand had seen in fifty years. It devastated the surrounding provinces and threatened the financial district of downtown Bangkok. It killed hundreds, and left hundreds of thousands homeless…it was what some were waiting for…
It created the perfect environment for an experimental virus…
Shortly after the flood started the virus was released…
Cole Merrimac and a few coworkers at a private kindergarten in Bangkok were some of the lucky ones. They survived the flood.
What they didn’t realize was that the nightmare had only just begun. Strange green lights sizzling overhead rendered them unconscious. When they wake seven days later, they find a world turned upside down. Some are dead. Some are missing. Some are sick.
The one's that are dead do not stay that way. The ones that are sick have no chance of getting better. the one's missing come back...changed
The dead walk Thailand, but they’re not the worst things out there…
Follow Cole and the others as they try to piece together what is happening, and try to get out of a land stalked by monsters.
The question is…Is there a safe place to go?

5.0 out of 5 stars Really really WORTH the time 6 April 2013
By JC
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I got Chimera Seed for free as a Kindle download. It was fantastic. What I thought was going to be a by the numbers thriller turned into something entirely different, in fact the title not only gave name to the book, it also described the story arc perfectly.

I read many different types of book and will really give anything a go. This ticked all the boxes, mystery, thriller, horror, suspense and action were all there alongside thoughtful and well researched. I have never read a mainstream book set in Thailand before and this served to give this book another angle simply because it was not familiar.

Only one negative for the book and that is that it could have done with a good edit, mainly for grammar and the odd word being out of context or syntax, but DON'T let this put you off as it is negligible and would only really bother a pedant.

If you like good thrillers in the style of Rollins, Reilly, Cussler and don't mind something a little different in the style of Tufo or Recht give this a go. Its worth the money and I will be hoping that there is more from this author.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good read, but poorly edited 26 Dec 2012
By Love to read (when I find the time) - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed the story and writing style, but had to give it 3 stars for the very poor editing (this seems to be a common problem with many e-books I have read recently). Using to for too, your for you're, and there for their, may not be caught by spell check but should certainly be recognized before someone publishes a book. If you can ignore these problems, enjoy the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Desperately needs proofreading! 22 Jan 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Basically this is a good story, and would make an interesting series IF PROOFREAD!! There are multiple mistakes on every single page. As the previous reviewer said, spellcheck won't pick up errors like since for sense, hold for hole, here for her, and their for they're. It appears that not only was the manuscript "proofread" merely by spellcheck, but the auto-finish was given free rein on the words. Manuscripts MUST be proofread by an actual person with a decent understanding of spelling, grammar and abbreviations. Ideally this is someone other than the author, because an author tends to see what he or she intended, not necessarily what is really there.

This author has a lot of potential, but desperately needs an editor/proofreader.
5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it 16 Jun 2014

Bought this e-book many many months ago but overlooked it or something, because I've just rediscovered it. Anyway, I was impressed. Great story, good writing. Like so many other books, it needs a good editor, but hey! I'm over being the grammar/spelling police. Write many many more!
