Format:Audio CD
...before you buy this cd-make sure it's the one you want- this is the 2009 release of chilled euphoria- there is also a chilled euphoria that was released in 2000, mixed by red Jerry.
All of the previous reviews listed here are for that version. Hope that helps if anyone's confused- just plain lazy naming on the labels fault and I hope amazon sort this out :)...
Anyway, I thoughtI might as well give this a very quick review, as I have the other chilled euphoria's. This has a nice mix of what I'd call chilled- almost beatless and more ambient-the sort of stuff you can find on the older chilled euphoria cd's, and more trance-like tunes. This is the major problem with the cd, in my opinion- it's neither full-chillout neither full-on trance or house, and can't decide between them.
If you're after a proper chillout set, try the older chilled euphoria's, or if you're after some of the older trance, try gatecrasher wet/red/black,or armins boundaries of imagination, etc... You should find most of these track on various trance compilations or older chill cd's by now though,s if you're already into this type of music there's a chance you've heard many of the tracks before-It's not that this is a bad cd, just not a great one.

This is the first time I've been inspired to write a review for Amazon, and I haven't even listened to all the CDs yet.
Although a fairly good dance CD, this by no means 'chilled' - the vast majority of the tracks seem to have a trance leaning, making it certainly the most aggressive, fast-paced 'chill out' CD I've ever bought.
The original series of Chilled Euphoria albums (released almost a decade ago now) are true chill-out classics, each with slightly different moods, but each very well put together pieces of music. This one, however, feels a little rushed. Some of the mixes seem rather hastily put together, and the ending of CD 1 is just bizarre - it feels like someone just pressed 'stop' rather than waiting for the track to end properly.
The track listing isn't bad for a dance CD - some new stuff, and some old classics too, and it makes for a good few hours listening. Just don't expect to find it relaxing...

This album is absolute rubbish. It is repetitive and souless. I could not regret buying a CD anymore than I have buying this.

Not what I was expecting
Thought this would be an uplifting chillout but found it quite melancholy...very disappointed. Have a massive selection of chill out CDS and they are all very cheery chill... Read more
