4.0 out of 5 stars Chuckys still got it! 25 July 2002
By A Customer
Yep that's right. Chucky is back, with even more attitude, jokes and carnage. Granted, this is not as good as "Childs Play 2", But this one definitely hits the spot. The basic story is that the greedy bosses at "Good Guys" have decided to re-launch the doll! But unfortunately during the making, good old Charles Lee Ray (a.k.a Chucky) has got himself into the mix and is made a bran spanking new body. Now he's back, and still after Andy Barclay (the little boy in Childs Plays 1 and 2)!! Who turns out is now 16 and is in military school. Chucky sets out to claim Andy's body once again. But fortunately, for Andy he finds out that he can now claim another boys' body, and he sets out to do so...
Over all this film deserves the 4 stars I've given it, just for the laughs also it's a great treat for horror fans as its one of those films which is successfully mixed comedy and horror.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good sequel 25 Feb 2007
By marky77 VINE VOICE
Most reviewers seem not to have liked Childs Play 3 as much as as Childs Play 1 and 2, but I actually thought it was a pretty decent sequel. Especially considering that the writer of the movies had run out of idea's after Childs Play 2 but was pressured into making this (which was realeased only nine months later) straight away.

Childs Play 3 takes place eight years after the ending of Childs Play 2. Theres the usual chucky-doll-being-brought-to-life-again scene during the opening credits and then we see that Andy is now 16 years old an enrolled in military school. Meanwhile, The Play Pall's Toy Company decide to start making a new batch of Good Guy's (and the prototype just happens to be Chucky). After a brutal murder (his favourite type), Chucky posts himself to Andy at the military school and it's not long before the body's start piling up as he continues he quest to get revenge on Andy.

Im not sure why this movie was rated 18 as it is actually milder than the first two movies. Definatly should've just been a 15.

Childs Play is quite scary and has a few moments that make you jump. Although the story line and death scenes are not as good as other Child's Play movies, this movie does succeed in being very suspencefull and has some good one-liners from chucky. Deffinatly worth watching if you are a fan of the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well I liked it. 30 Aug 2002
By dean
This isn't the best child's play movie, i prefer child's play 2.
But it still had its moments. I first watched this movie about 6-7 years ago. After that i thought that they killed off chucky for good. He returned yet again in bride of chucky, which wasn't so good.
Chucky is remade at the beginning of this movie, it carry's on from child's play 2. A claw comes down from the ceiling inside the toy factory and picks up chucky's melted corpse. It then carry's chucky over a fresh tank of plastic, his blood drops into the plastic, you can then guess what happens.
Chucky then goes on his search for Andy Barclay. He finds him at 'kent military school'. Chucky mails himself to the military school. When he arrives the body counts begin.
The movie ends in a theme park in the middle of nowhere. Chucky is thrown into a spinning prepeller and is cut to pieces. That is where i thought the chucky series ended.
In bride of chucky he is not on a search for andy barclay, can't blame chucky though, i would have given up on the same person if they had beat me 3 times. If you are a chucky fan i recommend it to you, but if not then just rent it. I don't think that you can rent it because it was banned.

3.0 out of 5 stars chuck is back again 27 Oct 2006
By sean paul mccann VINE VOICE
the film was made 9 months after the second man and producer don mancini has gone on record saying that he ran out of ideas after the second movie and while that may sound horrific in itself this is still entertaining and funny despite courting controversy after its release for reasons that we wont get into here.

childs play 3 is set 8 years after the second part and chuckys enemy andy has enrolled himself in military school, chucky the doll comes back to life and someone manages to place himself in a box and post it to andy, strange how he could have done that, and upon arrival is intercepted by a little boy who likes the doll but of course doesnt realise that the doll contains a human serial killer.

There isnt a lot of gore here but there are great one liners from chucky who is as evil as they come, not the best in the series is usually the cry from fans and i agree but this is nonetheless entertaining.

4.0 out of 5 stars a massive improvement 17 Nov 2008
This movie is a massive improvement from the Boring child's Play 2, This time Andy is a teenager who has been enrolled in a military school. Mean while Play Pals Toy Company decides to re-release its Good Guys line, feeling that after all this time, the bad publicity has died down. As they re-used old materials, the spirit of Charles Lee Ray once again comes to life. In his search for Andy, This time chucky falls into the wrong hands, Ronald Tyler is who stole the package from Andy has he wanted a good guy doll as well, Chucky has new body to transfer his Soul into.

Soon Andy meet chucky again and find out what he upto and try to stop him. This movie filled with nice gory deaths scene, the best death scene in whole series and the acting from everyone was great., This is my favourite Child's Play movie and it action packed until the end. Great movie 8/10
