A classic work of reference, with lots of very good general articles too - this year's includes articles on writing for boys, the state of the current market, growth areas and more, written by many famous names.

Children's Writers' and Artists' Yearbook 2009 (Children's Writers' & Artists' Yearbook): A Directory for Children's Writers and Artists Containing Children's ... and Practical Advice and Information An excellent resource for writers of childrens picture books, fiction and non fiction. Wouldn't be without it as it gives up to date details of all publishers, agents and other valuable information.

A brilliant book, containing pretty much every piece of information a children's writer could need. And very good value for money too, considering how much information is in here. I would definitely recommend this annual book.
