This is exactly the same map that is on sale by letterbox for £16.99. The dimensions given on the product description are off-putting but those are the dimensions of the packaged product. This is infact a large wall map - see letterbox for exact dimensions but approx 90cm by 120cm? It is laminated so hard wearing and absolutely packed with information.
Great great value buy.

While the idea of a children's map is fantastic this offering does nothing to aid a child's knowledge or understanding of the world. The world is presented from a totally European perspective. The dates dotted all over the map take no account of the world before Europe started colonising different parts. The country boundaries and cities are not clear and the 'fun' illustrations are busy and confusing and even show white men in safari clothing with half clothed 'natives'. Surely we have moved on from this kind of narrow minded world view?
The one star is awarded for what is a great idea but the execution of it deserves nothing. Buy it only you want to promote colonial ideologies to your children. I went for the Peters Projection Map Poster (Early Learning Geography) instead. It is clear, colourful and geographically the most accurate map available.

I bought this for my nephew, and whilst it's a good and well presented map, it is NOT Laminated as per the Amazon description.
