5.0 out of 5 stars Every one a winner!!, 19 April 2009

(REAL NAME)
I got this book from the book club at work, mainly because I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to cooking and all of my attempts to date have been a bit hit and miss - until I came upon this book, that is... It's meant to be for kids and is filled with bright and colourful pages which will definately appeal to the younger reader, but also helpful and interesting is a little note on each page on each of the ingredients and why they're so good for you, which my husband (himself a big kid) loves to reference every time I make something out of this book ("What's in this then? And why is this good for me? Oh well, let's have more of that then!"). Basically what I want to say is that I've done almost all of the recipes in this book and hand on heart, every single dish has turned out to be absolutely fantastic, so if you're a bit hesitant in the kitchen and you just want to make basic good dishes that are healthy, low in fat and best of all, SIMPLE, this is for you. The only negative thing I will say about this book is that a considerable portion of it is devoted to salads, sandwiches and toast toppings, but then again, this is meant to be for kids so I can't be too harsh on that score. All in all, a great book, really easy to follow for adults and kids, and guaranteed something lovely to eat at the end of it. What could be better than that (other than a take-away, but that TOTALLY defeats the object!!)??
