5.0 out of 5 stars Every one a winner!! 19 April 2009
Format:Spiral-bound
I got this book from the book club at work, mainly because I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to cooking and all of my attempts to date have been a bit hit and miss - until I came upon this book, that is... It's meant to be for kids and is filled with bright and colourful pages which will definately appeal to the younger reader, but also helpful and interesting is a little note on each page on each of the ingredients and why they're so good for you, which my husband (himself a big kid) loves to reference every time I make something out of this book ("What's in this then? And why is this good for me? Oh well, let's have more of that then!"). Basically what I want to say is that I've done almost all of the recipes in this book and hand on heart, every single dish has turned out to be absolutely fantastic, so if you're a bit hesitant in the kitchen and you just want to make basic good dishes that are healthy, low in fat and best of all, SIMPLE, this is for you. The only negative thing I will say about this book is that a considerable portion of it is devoted to salads, sandwiches and toast toppings, but then again, this is meant to be for kids so I can't be too harsh on that score. All in all, a great book, really easy to follow for adults and kids, and guaranteed something lovely to eat at the end of it. What could be better than that (other than a take-away, but that TOTALLY defeats the object!!)??

5.0 out of 5 stars tasty food thast simple to make 11 Mar 2010
Format:Spiral-bound
My ex picked up this cookbook from her work and its been used regularly ever since (nope its not the other reviewer). Because of the simplicity of the intsructions and the clear pictures the food always turns out lovely.
The food is simple but tasty and relatively healthy.
Many of the recipies also suggest alternate ingredients "why not try...." or veggie options "instead of chicken use..." which give more variety to the food.
since the split i've moved house this cookbook is on my must have list because theres only so much beans on toast i can manage!

4.0 out of 5 stars Kids will love it 6 Feb 2014

Format:Spiral-bound|Verified Purchase
My child (8) loves this book, although I must admit I wish there was a bit more variety. Some of the recipes we already have. But excellent to get young people interested in cooking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Have no complaints 27 Jan 2011

I recieved the book exactly as was described by the seller and I got it quickly through the post. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
I like the book but was expecting more recipes and ideas as I bought another one by the same author called The Cookbook for Children and it was excellent.
