If you are doing an NVQ3, this book is a must. It explains each topic clearly and is easy to follow. This has been one of the most useful textbooks I have ever purchased!

This book is an excellent resource for both NVQ CCLD students and assessors. I would strongly recommend that everyone working in early years has a copy of this book. It covers everything you need to know - practical, regulatory and advisory - for working in an child care setting.
If you are studying for an NVQ 3 CCLD (or QCF as they now are) this book is essential. It will tell you what you should be doing and when, why and how. It will tell you what the children in your care should be doing and when, and what to do if they're not. It contains examples of paperwork you should be completing (such as observations, planning, etc) as well as how this relates to the EYFS.
The book is superbly presented, with clear headings, and relates well to the national standards required for the NVQ. It covers the age range of 0 - 16, as is required for the NVQ level 3 CCLD.
As an NVQ assessor I have used this book for nearly three years, and recommend it to all my learners. They find it useful informative and easy to digest.
