5.0 out of 5 stars An entertaining and exciting bedtime story 19 Jun. 2012
By Claire W. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The illustrations are colorful and appealing- one big picture to go with every scene. A perfect book for children aged from 2 years up to the read-it-yourself age.
The story is delightful and vividly imaginative; the exciting tale revolving around the bear's kindness, innkeeper's mischief and the dragon's magical gifts, is a great demonstration of the saying "what goes around comes around". An instant favorite for my 5-year-old -all the kids are surely going to love this story!
I enjoyed this story as well. The writing style is comparable to Enid Blyton's- reminded me of my own childhood days! Keep writing Rachel Yu, we certainly want more and more from you!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story, awkward format 14 Jan. 2013
By Lisa Billington - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I downloaded this story on my Kindle fire for my nephew (age 7) to read to me. The story is pretty good and the artwork is colorful. BUT- I wish they would have put the text first, then the picture. It was awkward to turn the page and see a picture, turn it again to read about what's happening in the picture, then go back to look at the picture again and talk about it, then have to skip three pages forward to the next section of text. Also, having the picture first gave away what was about to happen, and since he's a young reader I wanted him to discover the surprises through the text not the pictures.

My son and I just stumbled upon this book as we were trying to decide on a bedtime story. We read it and loved it! He told me not to delete it from my kindle because I have a tendency to delete things as soon as they are read but he said I really like that story can we keep it? And thats the best review of all!
