666 is my personal favourite COTC sequel, mainly because I am a huge fan of Isaac Chroner. In this film the original leader returns after waking up from a 19 year coma and leads a new generation of children in preparation for the birth of a new race of children of the corn fathered by he who walks behind the rows himself. Although this film is slightly more slow moving than the other entries in the series it serves to good purpose as it allows a story to develop between the central characters of Hannah, Gabriel and Isaac. Isaac is a very sinister character and after 15 years John Franklin puts up another brilliant performance as the evil preacher, he is by far the greatest leader of the children of the corn and, even though those who came before (Micah, Eli etc.) all did a good job it's great to see Isaac return. John Franklin also wrote the film and did a great job at it. Basically Hannah from the first film is all grown up and returns to Gaitlin to find her mother, it turns out that this is all part of Isaacs prophecy and that she is the one chosen to give birth to the new breed of children. This film has everything a COTC film should have, a great leader, a sinister cult of children, He who walks behind the rows and some gore (Isaac cuts a girls head in half with a machette as a punishment) The gore is probably the only thing which I can complain about in this film as there is quite a lack of it compared to the others but then again, that's not what this film is about so it can be excused. The fact that Isaac is now a man is also excusable due to the simple fact that he is Isaac Chroner, the real leader of the children of the corn.
