3.0 out of 5 stars Children Don't Divorce 24 Feb 2003
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
This book covers a lot of different issues around divorce e.g. the effects on friends at school, being visited by a social worker and the arrival of a new partner. Unfortunately, it is very brief on each aspect and therefore more suitable to initiate conversations with older children, I would guess at least over 5. Another disadvantage is that although the book conveys the positive outcomes of divorce many of the facial expressions are rather grim. However, the book does give you the chance to tell your children some things that are very hard to say e.g. "even if they (parents) dont live together, your mum and dad will always be your mum and dad", which I think does help both parents and children.

3.0 out of 5 stars Help for children 7 Jun 2003
Format:Paperback
If you are trying to help a child through the break-up of their family you may like to read this book with them. It is a well illustrated picture book, and may help a young child to know that he or she is not the only child in the world who has parents who do not love each other anymore.
