Be kind to children! 26 Jun 2009
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a great book! We need to treat our children kindly and this book provides a lot of good advice on how to do that while still being able to discipline our children. We need to create the right skills in our children to be able to solve their problems without resorting to violence. We also need not to resort to violence ourselves! Highly recommended.

Shame it's so short! 5 April 2011
Format:Paperback
This is a short book on Nonviolent Communication. However, please be aware that the book is only 23 pages (plus some pages of ads) long, not 48 pages as stated in the Amazon description. Most of the book is available in the Amazon 'look inside' feature.

I would have appreciated more concrete strategies and suggestions from the author in how to communicate nonviolently to my children. Instead, the greater part of the book is anecdotes about his personal experiences with his own children.

Every once in a while an exceptional book is published that provides us with an opportunity to shift a generation's experience with their children. This is one of those! A MUST read!
