I bought this software because we are buying a house and we wanted to model it with different colours before painting it. So far, I have made a fairly complete model of the house and the interior, but it isn't finished yet and we haven't actually got around to playing with the colours on the walls although that's easy enough to do.
This is a complex product and there is a lot to say. Installation and operation - no problems on my computer (Windows 7), the program is pretty stable and runs perfectly well on my i5-based PC. The 3D views move perfectly fluidly and it doesn't seem to tax the PC too much (it can take a few seconds to generate a 3D view but then it's perfectly smooth).
User-friendliness is mixed. 3D modelling is a complex thing and I didn't find the interface very easy to learn at first, and it took me a little while to get used to it. However, after an initial learning curve I got to grips with it. I found that I had to focus on one area at a time and learn each one separately - walls, floors, cabinets, furniture etc. I can't say that I have mastered all of them yet, and there are levels of detail that are available in the program that I haven't attempted to use (e.g. interior composition of walls, creating custom textures etc.). I have also got a problem with the roof, which is auto-generated but creates a complete mess (based on the walls beneath) and I can't work out how to clean that up and make an accurate roof.
The program does sometimes give you some fairly cryptic error messages relating to the placement of objects, and these can be difficult to resolve, particularly as it doesn't actually highlight the area or object that is causing the error (although it's usually fairly simple to work out as it'll be whatever you've just been working with). At the moment, I have a persistent error that I don't know how to solve, relating to the placement of a deck (or terrace).
One annoying restriction that I encountered is in the number of floors that you can have. I didn't notice this in the documentation before buying, but the software is limited to 3 floors. This is a problem for me since our house has 3 floors plus an attic, and although the software claims to allow working on the attic too, I can't get that working in practice and right now I have doors sticking up through the roof!
I don't want this review to sound too negative. I do think this is a good product, but it's a complex subject and you do have to learn how to work with it. I have managed to get a lot of the house looking very similar to the real thing, even though there are some non-standard features in the house. This is also one of the cheaper versions of the program, and I'm sure that the more expensive versions do not have the same limitation on the number of floors, for example. You do have to be prepared to spend some time looking at tutorials and learning how to use the software, but I think in the end it's a good program and well worth the price.
In response to an earlier review, I did not have to pay for any additional modules for the program to work. I have downloaded some free additional libraries (of furniture, paint colours etc) from the publisher's website. The program comes with an extensive library of furniture and other household items, and I believe that you can also make your own items but I haven't looked into how to do that. You'll probably be able to find things that are similar to most of your furniture, but it will inevitably be an approximation.
Four stars because it's stable and an advanced product with lots of features and flexibility. It's not easy and it has its limitations, but I think it's well worth the price for this version.

I tried the Grand Designs software which kept hanging up and causing me all sorts of problems. Thankfully Amazon took it back because it was not fit for purpose. This works better but all the fixtures and fittings are designed for the American market. It is also quite difficult to get the roof you want. It is very good for floor plans and the camera views help a lot when developing room designs. Is it worth the money? The jury is still out.

Good programe how ever it cost over 40 pounds I then had to purchase a download add on which was 78 pounds, with out this the program was useless. They should make it clear you need this. How ever wince you do have the add on its an amazing program
