I highly recommend this unique book for small children. The handpainted illustrations are glorious to look at, and the rhythm and pace of the text is quirky, expressive and lots of fun. It's endearing without being cutesy.

I love this book almost as much as my two year old! It is beautifully illustrated with images that tell a lovely tale. The illustrations and the words are quirky and fun! It is quite different from other children's story books which is why I like it so much. It always makes us smile when we read it! (...and we read it again and again and again!!)

I bought this book after my 4 month old baby picked it up and played with it at baby group. I bought the hardback version as he likes to hold the book and turn the pages and so won't tear it. The book has lovely felt chicks on the front for children to feel. The words rhyme and are sing songy. A book any child would love.
