5.0 out of 5 stars Great for little learners!, 28 Aug 2003

What a fantastic book this is! It shows baby chicks growing in eggs and breaking out along with interesting facts on why eggs are shaped like they are and why cuckoos are so naughty. Also shows lots of different kinds of eggs and different types of nests.

It's a beautiful simple book for young learners with genuinely interesting content. My daughter (just 3) loves it and it sparks all kinds of conversations. Good for parents who want their child to learn new things, but want books that are suitable for young children (ie lots of pictures and minimalist text). Would also be suitable for a young reader (probably age 7ish) to read themselves.

The others in the series look good - but this is by far the best!
