Celebrate Chicken Shed's 30th Anniversary,

2004 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Chicken Shed Theatre Company. An amazing array of musical and theatrical talent has lent its support to help commemorate this significant milestone. The company work on the basis that the performing arts should be available to everyone - any young person who wants to perform has the ability and the right to do so. The Chicken Shed Album features songs written by Chicken Shed over the last three decades. Elaine Paige, who was instrumental in the creation of the album, sings We Need Each Other written by Chicken Shed’s resident writer Paula Rees, Sir Cliff Richard sings Watch Me Come Alive and ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton performs Sometimes. Track listing: This CD is a collection of the company’s own original songs, written for its musical productions over the last thirty years.

This album is truly inspirational. So many excellent artists on one CD. The songs and lyrics are beautiful. I have never heard so many excellent tracks together. Cliff is overwhelming, Emma Bunton sincere and Gabrielle's voice is so moving and the words in 'we need each other' are so wonderfully emotional! You must buy it

All the big stars shine for the Chicken Shed,

All the artists featured on The Chicken Shed Album are avid supporters of the company. Bob Hoskins said, "There is something very magical about Chicken Shed - it’s a combination of talent, goodwill, intelligence and a whole lot of heart. When any kid off any back street can walk onto that magic space we call the stage and create something magnificent - that’s Chicken Shed!" Sir Cliff Richard said: "I am so glad to be able to endorse the work of Chicken Shed by contributing to this, their first ever album. Having already worked with them on The Millennium Prayer, I know the talent, dedication and sheer guts that the Chicken Shed kids have. They’re brilliant! If you don’t know them, check them out. You’ll be humbled and amazed"
