My son played with one of these when he was a baby, and now his six month old sister has started playing with it too. It is very robustly built has stood the test of time. It has a number of different features:
1. On/off knob to the right of steering wheel also has a 2 step volume control
2. Accelorator and brake peddles (below steering wheel) make revving and skidding type noises when pressed
3. Key is attached by string. When turned in the ignition it makes the noise of an engine turning over followed by a couple of revs
4. To the left of the steering wheel is the petrol tank, lift the flap and press the button and you hear a "gloop gloop" noise meant to be petrol filling the tank
5. Above the steering wheel are a number of destinations (sat nav?) like school, supermarket, park etc. When pressed they light up and you hear a little description or sound effect.
6. Above the sat nav is the language switch to swap between English and French
7. To the right of the steering wheel is a wing mirror (this tends to come off very easily)
8. Under the mirror is the indicator switch which you push up or down to make the left or right indicators flash and you hear a ticking sound effect
9. A gear stick which you move up and down and it counts up to ten
10. Steering wheel makes a brrrm noise when turned
11. Centre steering wheel is a destination selector button
12. The all important horn is a button on the steering wheel
13. The radio plays two tunes if you press another button on the steering wheel
So lots of noises, lots of things that light up and it doesn't seem too battery hungry. With the exception of the mirror coming off too easily, it works very well. A great value toy!
