Fantastic little gadget. Great time saver when making large batches of filled cupcakes. Push in, wiggle & remove - easy peasy !!

Not sure whether I like it... But maybe it's just me.,

This item has caused a lot of thinking for me :-) I have tried to use it everytime I make Cupcakes but for some reason I think mine are just always too small to use this plunger. So far from most of the try outs I have done my cupcakes usually come out worse as this plunger takes away pretty much all the cake... and getting it out isn't that easy too... I am starting to get convinced this plunger is for BIG cupcakes and not the normal sizes I make. When it does work and leaves the cupcake in one piece, it is good fun to be able to fill it with stuff...

Disappointing!,
This review is from: Eddingtons Cupcake Plunger (Kitchen & Home)
I was disappointed with the cupcake plunger, as unlike the batter dispenser from the same company (seperate review) it doesn't please quite as much. I used it on my standard cupcakes (bigger than fairy cakes but smaller than muffins) and I think it's too big and takes away too much of the cake! (Ok if you want filling as opposed to sponge!?) It did however work well with larger muffins - Maybe as an american design, they have bigger cupcakes in the U.S!? It is a shame as it is so popular to have cupcakes with fillings now and we really need a decent product to create a perfect hole, sadly though, for me, this isn't it.
