More About the Author

Richard Holland is a freelance corporate copywriter and editor and is the author of eleven books. Please visit www.richardhollandwriter.co.uk.

His most recent book is 'Good Can Come From Evil', written on behalf of the Foundation For Peace charity to mark the 20th anniversary of the IRA bombings in Warrington. The book is to be used by Key Stage 2 schoolchildren to help them understand the background to the act of terrorism and how it affected the town and the ongoing peace process.

Richard's main interest is in British folklore, especially ghost stories. He is the former editor of Paranormal Magazine and has appeared on BBC and independent radio and television programs discussing the supernatural.

He is continuing a series of regional ghost books for Bradwell Books and recently created 'Ghost Finder' Smartphone apps in which haunted locations are accurately plotted onto Google maps. Information on each site and the ghosts haunting them can then be called up from each location marker. Ghost Finder London and Ghost Finder Edinburgh are already available.

Richard is the editor of a website dedicated to British ghosts and folklore, www.uncannyuk.com. He invites contributions to Uncanny UK on the subjects of ghosts, fairies, mysterious creatures and folkloric witchcraft. Contributors already include Janet Bord, Richard Freeman, Mark Greener, Nick Redfern, Karl Shuker and Nigel Watson.

He can be contacted via richard@richardhollandwriter.co.uk. He is on Facebook (www.facebook.com/#!/richard.holland.1420), LinkedIn (http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/richard-holland/13/59b/250) and Twitter (@uncannyuk)
