By Susan S. Burry - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
From the first delightful mystery guaranteed to make you smile to the last beautifully written and moving story, this collection of short mysteries is a pleasure. This volume has a wide variety of story-telling styles and subjects, thanks to the creativity of the assortment of excellent authors. I found it perfect to read one or two offerings at a sitting; there is something here for every type of mystery lover. Perfect for home or travel!

Read `Chesapeake Crimes: This Job is Murder' 8 Oct. 2012
By Mystery Review - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I don't often read short stories, but maybe I have been making a mistake. This compendium of short stories written by the Chesapeake Chapter of the Sisters in Crime is terrific. I found it was nice to be able to read a story or two while I was waiting in line at the bank or between loads of clothes. Since, I'm always looking for new authors to read, this was an excellent way to sample a variety of new authors. There are 14 stories in total.

This is the fifth book published by the Chesapeake Sisters in Crime. They feature both established award winning authors as well as some newcomers. The stories were all chosen by blind submission by the editorial panel of Ellen Crosby, Dan Stashower and Sandy Parshall. Award winning/nominated authors Donna Andrews, Marcia Talley and Barb Goffman edited the anthology.

If you ever had a bad day at work, read this. 5 Dec. 2012
By C. Toste - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I was a First Read Winner of this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a wonderful collection of short stories that do not disappoint. Each highly entertaining and not easily forgotten, and each story can easily be read in one sitting. If you ever had a bad day at work, or just dreamed about maybe getting even, then this is a good book to read.

I really enjoyed these stories, they were all interesting, all different. I would really enjoy reading more from these authors. Especially enjoyed Shari Randall' s and wish that she had more I could read.

I really enjoyed the variety of murder mysteries in this book. The lengths were just right. My favorite was the Karen Cantwell story.
