Delivery was prompt to say the least - it arrived 3 days earlier than expected. Came with no damage to the packaging whatsoever.

The keyboard itself is outstanding. Having used a standard rubber dome keyboard for the past few years, this is a certainly a significant improvement. This mechanical keyboard uses Red Cherry MX switches which I find to be perfect for gaming and very comfortable when typing for long periods of time. This being quite a light key switch, you will find yourself making the odd typo - however if you are a proficient typist, this shouldn't be a problem after a few hours of practice with this keyboard.

I had my doubts about this keyboard initially, for it does not use full height keys, however this by no means detracts from the keyboard's typing nor gaming experience. I have no problems with this; in fact it may even be the reason why you don't need any sort of palm rest with this keyboard. I have had no wrist pain.

If you find yourself in need of a keyboard with a palmrest, you can buy one for this keyboard off Amazon from here for £17: http://www.amazon.co.uk/CHERRY-Palmrest-Handballenauflage-MX-Board-G80-3850LYBDE-2/dp/B00GUC2A4Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1396957696&sr=8-2&keywords=cherry+mx+palmrest

Concerning the build quality and design, it certainly seems to be ticking all the boxes. It has a nice weight to it, and it has a very nice finish. The USB cable plugs in very conveniently to the back of the keyboard which allows me to reposition my keyboard if it is not in use when I am using my desk for something else. The rubber grips on the feet and the back surface work very effectively.

I have a job where I am fortunate enough to work from home, and decided to take advantage of the opportunity. I decided that if I was serious about working from home I would have to get myself some kit. I never thought that buying a keyboard would require so much research! To cut a long story short I bought a Logitech K360 and a Microsoft 600 neither of which met my expectations. I was a novice and after some research I finally realised that what I was after was a mechanical keyboard.

I decided to buy a Cherry keyboard as they actually manufacture the key switches, so I thought I might as well get the keyboard from the people who make the switches. So I bought this for £52.50 with free delivery, not from Amazon, but thought I would still do a review in case anyone else is struggling with buying a keyboard...I can safely say that I am 100% satisfied with this keyboard. It has Red MX Switches which are very easy to press and the noise the keyboard makes is very satisfying....to me anyway!

Great points about this keyboard:

1. The cable is detachable, so if the cable goes bad just get a new one, no need to replace the keyboard, saving your pennies.
2. It has green LED indicators for Caps Lock, Num Lock, Scroll Lock and the two Windows buttons (which remain on continuously but I think you can disable them though).
3. The letters and symbols etc are laser-etched on, no tacky stickers!
4. The keyboard has excellent build quality, no bending and the legs are sturdy - you also get rubber caps for the legs and red rubber stickers for the underside of the keyboard to prevent slipping which I thought was a nice feature.

This keyboard is an absolute dream! i decided to go for the cherry mx red switches as i play a lot of games and upon skimming a few switch reviews reds seem the best suited to me. for those who don't know what the difference is a quick run down is as follows;

Reds - super light actuation point, easy to press and reasonably quiet.
Blacks - slightly harder actuation point, been compared to the rubber dome feel in most keyboards but no need to bottom out for it to register the key press.
Browns - the browns are basically the black with a tactile feedback in the form of a small bump as you press.
Blues - blues are the same as above, the only difference is that on top of the tactile bump they produce a loud click upon reaching the actuation point.

there are a few more types of switches but the four above cover what this keyboard comes in so no need to go into it anymore!

I have searched for a while on many sites for a reasonably priced mechanical keyboard, and this is the best i have found by far! it has a really nice to feel to the build, and with simply plug and play you can get straight into using it! although it may take a few hours of use to actually get used to the different feel of the keyboard.

TLDR; Great keyboard, Great price! GET ONE!

Thought there was something wrong with my PC, turns out my 'Mad Catz V.5 Gaming Keyboard' which I bought last year had failed (So is now in the trash). So after researching my keyboard options, settled on the 'Cherry MX-Board 3.0'.
First things first, I ordered this from Amazon on Wednesday 2:30pm & opted for the super saver delivery. Amazingly, the keyboard was delivered on Thursday morning before 9am! Now that's fantastic service, Amazon cannot be beaten.

OK, to the keyboard. I opted for a mechanical keyboard this time after reading countless reviews. The keyboard itself comes with 2 anti-slip pads that fit under the keyboard & 2 rubber sleeves for the feet (used to raise the angle of the keyboard), which work really well!

The keys themseleves make a very satisfying sound when pressed & am really enjoy typing on this board.

As a plus, the detachable USB cord makes it very convenient to position your keyboard to your own setup.

The only surprise I came across was the caps lock key, I've been used to the key being called 'Caps Lock'. On this keyboard the Caps lock key is simply denoted by a downward arrow, have gotten used to it already.

All-in-all, this is the best keyboard I've used so far. I know the £50+ price tag may seem a little steep, but you do get what you pay for in this world.
