5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Keyboard 11 Feb 2011
Very well made. Sometimes you don't realise something's broken until you fix it. Keyboards in general are a prime example, you use to stock keyboard and then you change to something like this and the difference is great. The key themselves are clicky, not spongey, but then it's not overbearingly loud either. The keyboard itself is so compact that it leaves me so much space on my desk, as long as you don't want a dedicated number section, you'll be again. Again, when you go back to regular keyboards you'll see how much wasted space there is.

Would highly recommend; if you're looking for a compact keyboard, look no further.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cherry ML switches - blergh 3 May 2014
Switch types are always going to be something of a personal preference, but I never got on with the Cherry ML's on this - they're sticky, scratchy, and require a fair bit of pressure to actuate, which means they always end up bottoming out with a decidedly unsatisfying plasticy clack. They also don't take well to being hit off-center, which only makes adapting to the cramped layout more unpleasant.

One common recommendation is to lubricate them, which involves popping off the keycaps and opening each switch so you can coat their innards. My recommendation is to buy a different keyboard.

The feel of this keyboard is very nice, and is good even for extended periods of typing. The in-shot enter key takes a little bit of getting used to, as does the backslash/pipe on the bottom row. If you're used to a vanilla UK layout, it may take some adjusting. The space bar initially seems ludicrously small, but in actual use is perfectly sized and positioned for the thumbs. The unit is very light and I've seen it criticised for being too easy to accidentally push around a desk, but have never found that to be the case myself.

The only real let-down for this keyboard is the keycap printing quality. A few of the letters on mine started to wear after about year of daily use, and now many of the keys are partially worn. Given that the build quality is high enough for it to survive many years of use, it's a bit disappointing. It'd be a straight five-star review if it weren't for that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made and compact 9 May 2014

The layout is a little iffy, but that will just take a little time to get used to. Keys are nice and clicky without being overwhelming.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product but just too small for my hands 30 Jan 2014

Great feeling and build quality. Love the way the keys feel but its just to small to work with for me (6ft er with big hands). I love the ML keys tho. Keys are cramped together and I kept missing important keys like Enter and backspace. Reluctantly returned it as there are no other standard size board with these ML keys

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, as long as you know what you are getting 24 Jun 2013

The keyboard is tiny (laptop-sized) and the keys feel pretty good (better than most laptops), but they are tiny. I have pretty big hands and I find it uncomfortable to type for any time on this keyboard. On the other hand, it sits under the monitor for my second input and leaves room for my actual "work" keyboard (the very excellent Filco Majestouch Tenkeyless), so it works for me. I'd still recommend it, as long as you don't have small hands.
