This is a truly extra-ordinary and amazing book which, if you believe in the UK justice system, you simply must read! I have never read a book like this before and cannot recommend it too strongly. The story begins with the main character, Will Middleton, as a young boy in the sixties wanting to be a racing driver and then meeting up with Graham Hill. It then jumps some twenty years to the eighties to a point when he's achieved his ambition. But disaster strikes and Will is seriously injured. Insurers believe it is all a scam, but their private detective is watching the wrong Will Middleton! The injured Will Middleton is arrested, charged with fraud and the trial begins. The book is the story of the trial and is told with flash backs. It's clearly based on a true story that has been camouflaged as a novel for legal reasons. For the author to have turned his experiences into such an amazing page turner is incredible and VERY, VERY brave! Read it and you'll understand what I mean. Anyone giving this book less than the 5 stars it deserves is simply demonstrating the sad truth that there will always be those unable to follow what is black & white! If you are into legal thrillers and also like motor-racing, you will find it hard to put this book down until you get to the last page. I have just pre-ordered the prequel Dark Horse!
