In addition the steel core ensures the spoon has sufficient strength while also allowing the ends to be flexible enough to use as a bowl scraper. Silicone itself is heat resistant to well over 300 Deg C, stain resistant and impervious to odours. So it can be used when cooking any type of food including currys etc on the hob or in the oven and in any type of pan including non stick. To clean wash in warm soapy water or simply place in the dishwasher.

    I've used the Chef'n spoon/spatula for just over a year, and it's great for stir-fries in a non-stick wok. The steel core gives it central rigidity, and the gentle concavity of the spoon's surface is ideal for turning the ingredients over rapidly.
    It's dishwasher-safe and its surface is still free of scuffs and scratches. The smaller end is useful for scrambled eggs, but not much else.

    This spoon is made of silicone with a heavy core (steel?). It is dishwasher safe and I have used it now for about a year.

    My favourite thing to use it for is Risotto, as it beautifully lifts the everything off the bottom of the pan. The tip is a bit softer than the rest which makes it harder to use on more resiliant food, but for risottos, mashes, everything along those lines, it is just perfect.

    The back end of the spoon is, honestly, not terribly useful, but well.

    And have I said that it goes into the dishwasher?
