    1.0 out of 5 stars Weak 1 April 2008
    By James H
One of the arms has snapped within two months of purchase. I would be exercising my statutory rights except I received it as a gift. Come on Chef'n - do your engineering right. Load-bearing parts need to be strong!

1.0 out of 5 stars I should have learned the first time 15 Feb 2008
By Mr. Dc Fowler VINE™ VOICE
This pepper mill and its sibling salt mill look great. My son broke - no was using - the first one I owned and I put it down to youthful exuberance. So I bought another and although it has been only me using it under normal operation this one has broken in exactly the same way. You cannot get to the broken part to even start attempting to mend it. There are much better mills on the market. Shame this one looks so nice.
PS The salt mill has not suffered the same problem.

Like a number of other purchasers, one of the operating arms broke near its base.
It lasted a year but it is obviously a weak point in the design. Read more

Have used grinders like this for years and usually they last a bit longer than this one did, but they do always work better than the pepper mills we've had. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful - avoid at all costs
As other reviews have said, the arms break off. This happened to my first one - which Chefn kindly replaced.

With the second one, other bits fell off from time to time. Read more
