A one handed operational Can Opener is both easy to use and very practical for sufferers of arthritus. In addition the ratchet just makes a great noise as it effortlessly opens your can. Simply locate the can opener against the can and squeeze, release, squeeze until the can has been completely opened. You can even lift the can up when operating the opener although care should be taken not to spill the contents. Once the lid has been completely separated from the can release the opener and remove the lid using the integral magnet on the front of the opener, the lid can be simply dropped into your recycling. The Can Opener is dishwasher safe or simply wash with warm soapy water.

How did I live without this?
Though many tins now have ring pulls, you still need a can opener for those that don't. Having thrown out two hopeless ones in quick succession (from Tesco and Ikea), I was at my wit's end. I don't have as much strength in my hands as I once did, and there's a suspicion of arthritis in my thumbs, so the whole 'grip and twist' with poorly designed can-openers had been getting me down. More than once I was left staring in frustration at a tin containing stuff that I (or the cat) needed to get at, without the means to do so.
Then I saw the reviews for this, and thought I'd risk it. I'm so glad I did. It's so easy to use - just close it on the tin rim (as normal - it has a mini guide-rail), and then repeat a light squeeze & relax motion with one hand until the tin is open. It's easy to do even with my weedy hands.
I'm getting one for my mum, boyfriend and best mate.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

I got one for my mum and it was so easy my 8 year old could use it with no problem, so I got a second one for us. very good indeed.

I bought that opener after the one touch broke after a week ,this is great product opens cans with eaze and u can use one hand and don't need batteries,very well made, love the design and colour,love it!!!

Absolute rubbish
This can opener does not work at all. It hacks the lid off, making the most God-awful grinding as it does so. It keeps slipping and won't do the last little bit. Read more
