So I just got a Chatman for my son's birthday and he's amazing. I was a bit worried that setting it up would be a bit difficult but actually it was really easy. I did have to run an update of the software as it seems there is a new version available now, but this kind of happened automatically so it was no real problem.
I'd read a fair bit about Chatman before we bought him so I have been expecting a lot. It hasnt disappointed and my Son has been pretty active with him. As an adult I know Im not supposed to like this; its for kids, but I've been playng around with him and find some of the chat really spooky in that we all know he's a toy but his programming is so smart he seems to really understand what you are saying. Things have come a long way since I pulled a cord on the back of an action man when I was a kid! There are a lot of features in Chatman to get your head around but watching my son he seems to get it faster than me. The Chat is really fun and I was really surprised that you can even ask Chatman a question and he will give you a relevant answer. I can imagine my son will want to spend a lot of time exploring Chatman so I'll need to keep an eye on how much time he's on the computer but to be honest I'd rather him be doing that than watching TV and playing xbox and Chatman has got some good safety features that as a parent I think are very sensible Overall I think Chatman is great and Im happy to have bought my son a toy that makes him think, communicate and explore than just some mindless action figure that doesnt do anything

I recently bought Chatman for my 11 year old niece's birthday and I'm relieved to say that she loves it! It was really tricky to find a gift for her that was appealing and more special than the usual items for her age group. I received a mailing from Amazon which listed Chatman and felt that this would be a really cool gift for her.
This is actually a really clever product, far more than a toy and as far as I can see it will really aid my niece's communication skills. I watched her use Chatman when she was chatting online with some of her friends and thought it was ingenious the way Chatman seemed to understand the tone of the conversation - showing emotions or making comments reflecting the tone of what was said. This is a great prompt for her to become more aware of how her written communication would be picked up by her friends....I know some adults who could greatly benefit from this type of guidance! Cleverly Chatman makes a warning noise if inappropriate content is written in chat which can flag a parent's attention to check what's on the screen. All in all this is a really easy to use and innovative product. Thanks!

.Bought Chatman as a birthday gift for my 8 year old grandson.....and he loves it.keeps his three year old sister amused too !they are having lots of fun with it , so definitely a good purchase
