The author is technical editor of Performance Bikes' and author of the well known Motorcycle Tuning' books. The book provides access to the most frequently used data for dealers, mechanics and enthusiasts who have to deal with a wide variety of machines and wish to compare the features of different models. A seperate section lists conversion tables, standard torque settings for threaded fasteners, tyre size codes, tyre speed and load schedules and addersses of importers. Machines are listed alphabetically by manufacturer and then in order of capacity or model number.

This book explains why a motorcycle does what it does, and the proper calculations and physics for what we feel when we ride.
It isn't a recreational read, and doesn't have big glossy pictures of MotoGP riders, but it is big on real facts. And if you understand 10% of this then you will be a better rider for it. For an example look at material on centre of gravity - I'm still getting my head around it, but the little I do understand so far explains why the stuff I learned motocrossing actually works.

Better than what expecxted, book is OK and really interesting. To be suggested (both book and seller) to many others! A bible if you're looking to fine tune a race motorbike

A superb in depth book that will answer all your questions about how a motorcycle chasis works.Describes the physics involved in making a motorcycle go, stop and go round corners.Pictures and technology in the book are a bit dated(late 80's early 90's) but the physics still apply.

This Book is written to a very high standard. the information is informative and easy to understand. It covers a wide variety of topics in great detail. well worth the price
