The primer coat seals the body while the coloured top coat not only provides an attractive appearance but also adds to the durability of the product and allows easy cleaning. The Chasseur range consists of Round and Oval Casseroles, Saucepans, Oval and Rectangular Serving Dishes and Roasters, Pate terrines, numerous Frypans and Grillpans plus Woks and Fondues.

Why Serving Dishes? Can be used on the hob, in the oven and under the grill for cooking and / or roasting plus ideal for serving. The attractive colourful appearance means they can go straight from the cooker to the table where due to the heat retention of the Cast Iron they will keep your food warm for second helpings. I've been using Chasseur enameled cast iron cookware for going on 15 years and it has stood the test of time. Originally purchased as it was less expensive than the "other brand" I have been sold on the quality and performance over time. Although there are some signs of wear on my casseroles, they have seen weekly and sometimes daily use on the stove and in the oven. An excellent product at a fantastic price.

This is a serious piece of kitchen hardware. It's big, deep and very very heavy and made of very high quality French cast iron. Chasseur may not be as well known as Le Creuset but it is every bit as good a make. The casserole looks good, is great to cook with, either on the hob or in the oven, and is easy to clean and maintain. I must re-emphasise the weight, this dish weighs about 8 or 9 kilos, personally I like my pans to have a fair bit of heft but I know it might be a factor for some. I can't recommend this highly enough.
