I've had this a couple months now and I have to say this is a great frying pan, I use it everyday. This is the first cast iron pan I have have ever bought and was a little worried about spending so much on pan but it is worth every penny. True it requires a little extra care and attention then a cheap stainless one but the benefits well out weigh this. Once seasoned propperly it is totally non stick. I prefer to just wash under a luke warm tap after every use then dry off heat on the stove until warn and then lightly re-oil. I then mop up any excess oil and put away once cooled. I've done this after every use and its never let me down yet.

A splendid cooking implement and too heavy for the wife to lift above her head, thus rendering it useless as a weapon. Highly recommended.

After using several teflon pans that we manage to wear out sooner rather than later we decided to make the plunge for a cast iron pan.
Best decision we've made as far as cooking goes! Really nice quality product and good results with the frying. Don't know if we're imagining it but the food tastes better cooked in this than in the teflon pans we used before?! A bit on the heavier side when you're used to other pans but hasn't been a problem for me or the missis. Can whole-heartedly recommend going for it if you're undecided!

washing for allergies
Some people need to 'wash' their frypans and there is nothing wrong with a mild detergent.....and/or the dishwasher. Read more
