Why Cast Iron? Cast iron is an excellent conductor of heat which ensures an even heat distribution on all heat sources including induction. Why French Cast Iron? Quite simply it's the best. The Ardennes region of France has been manufacturing premium quality cast iron cookware for generations. Why Chasseur? Chasseur Cast iron is all hand crafted for consistent quality with a double coating of enamel. The primer coat seals the body while the coloured top coat not only provides an attractive appearance but also adds to the durability of the product and allows easy cleaning. The Chasseur range consists of Round and Oval Casseroles, Saucepans, Oval and Rectangular Serving Dishes and Roasters, Pate terrines, numerous Frypans and Grillpans plus Woks and Fondues. Why Serving Dishes? Can be used on the hob, in the oven and under the grill for cooking and/or roasting plus ideal for serving. The attractive colourful appearance means they can go straight from the cooker to the table where due to the heat retention of the Cast Iron they will keep your food warm for second helpings. And when you've cooked and served they are easy to clean either in the dishwasher or in hot soapy water.

    this casserole is well worth its weight....the only drawback i have with this pot is the handles DO GET HOT even when gas is on its lowest ebb, so oven gloves are a must. the advantage outweights that as there is enough from one pot to feed 2 adults at least 3 meals. i have also found that the meals cook quicker than a normal casserole

    I purchased this item instead of a "le creuset" and I couldn't have been happier. I paid only £38 and it was worth it. My mum owns a "le creuset" and I can't see the difference! The casserole is great for cooking casserole and other dishes. being french I had to own one!!! :) great item!!!it even goes in the dishwasher which is brillant as the casserole is quite heavy. Perfect!!!!

    Great value. This is the second Chasseur Cast Iron casserole dish I have purchased and I must say it is every bit as equal in quality but not as expensive as the 'other French' casserole dishes being sold. I would thoroughly recommend it.
