Product Description

A snarky, cynical government operative is sent back in time to 5th century France, during the reign of Clovis and the Frankish Empire. His mission: to find and eliminate Dr. Barnard Jameson, a rogue scientist, before history can be significantly altered.

Finding Bertric, aka Dr. Jameson, was the easy part. Eliminating the smirking, pudgy little scientist proves to be a lot harder than he expected.

The smug doctor's plans of advancing human civilization by introducing 21st century concepts and technology more than a thousand years early sound like the ravings of a madman with a God complex... but with the possibility to avoid the Dark Ages and the stagnation of civilization for almost a millennium, is Jameson's scheme a chance worth taking?

5.0 out of 5 stars A Superb Read 15 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I couldn't put this one down, the plot gallops along at pace - Travis's enthusiasm for the main character is obvious and transmits itself to the story.

I was left almost wondering if this could be extended into another book following the further adventures of a man out of time.

Would buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fast paced time travel adventure that will keep you reading! 17 Aug 2014
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
“Chasing Time” is a wonderful combination of adventure, history, mystery, science fiction and pure imagination. Travis Hill start this novel with startling discovery, then continues to masterfully add details and intrigue into the cauldron, creating a story that satisfies.

Dr. Jameson has done the impossible, somehow creating a time machine – one he uses to travel back in time to the late 400’s AD, in France. Unfortunately, this amazing feat is made at the expense of the NSA. As a lead scientist, Dr. Jameson has high ranked clearance and access to files and materials to create his experimental machine. After he has flown the coup, taking duffle bags worth of who knows what and skipping back in time, the NSA struggles through the next six months reconstructing destroyed records. Once the unbelievable has been discovered, they recreate the good Doctor’s machine and send an operative to chase Jameson through time. Undergoing intensive training in history and language, the smart talking agent dons the robes of a priest, earning him the title of ‘Father’ though this holy man is a deadly assassin with only one goal. As the ‘Father’ navigates the 5ht century, the rules have changed… and so has he. Chasing Jameson turns into the adventure of a lifetime, or several lifetimes really.

Fast paced and action filled; this is a novel that plays with history and quantum physics. Detailed and well written, it is sure to entertain you and keep you thinking.

5.0 out of 5 stars An Intriguing Time Travel Novel (with a Bonus Novel and Short Story) 17 Aug 2014
By L. Collins - Published on
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am a big fan of time travel novels, I guess it is just the inner geek in me, so whenever I come across them I can help but dive in... and in "Chasing Time" my excitement was justified. Travis Hill has crafted a well-written and imaginative time travel story that centers around a man that is tasked with going back in time to stop a scientist from changing everything and keeping the Dark Ages from every happening... but as he becomes more aware of what the scientist plans the concept of letting it happen seems more and more like a viable improvement on the human race instead of a dangerous one. The story is fun, quirky, snappy and intriguing, bouncing from a humorous tale to a action packed time travel thriller. The author does a wonderful job of keeping the pace up and the reader locked in from start to finish, making this a truly enjoyable and engaging read.

What made the purchase all the more worth it (besides the imaginative time travel novel of course) is that the book included two bonus stories... "Search Terms: Alpha" which is massive preview of another time travel novel that has a college student getting his hands on technology that changes everything and "Adage" a short time travel story that goes along perfectly with the other two. I spent the whole day wrapped up in this book and I have to say it was well worth the read.

What an intriguing book. Packed full of adventure and unexpected twists and turns, it held my attention. The story line is interesting and fun. It is like a sci fi mystery, with an immense depth of intensity. The characters are great and fit the book perfectly and the attention to details is unsurpassed, covering a lot of different eras. It is written well and has a great flow and keeps you reading till the end, and left me wanting more. I love the style of this author and his immense imagination and wild mind. I will be looking for more of his work. I strongly recommend this book to everyone who loves a trip to the unknown.

Just finished this book. It has a very cool premise form a mind that you can tell is fairly twisted. Having read a few of Hills books I can say that they are getting better with every one. Looking forward to starting his next book! Keep em coming Mr. Hill!
