Amazon Review

Those of you looking for a Giggs exposé--fast cars, loose women and tales of debauchery--will be left disappointed by this book. It is nothing of the sort. What it does is lift the lid on what makes Giggs tick. How he copes with the day-to-day pressures of being at the top of his profession, how he stays there, and how he aims to reach "Perfection".

It takes you on a journey through the mind of the man, how he prepares mentally and physically, and how his life is structured by the demands of his job. The one thing that does show through is Giggs' determination to win and his own hunger for success.

''I want to finish first in everything, I always do,'' he claims, which will send his fans to sleep with a smile on their faces. ''I don't have a normal life,'' he also says, but sadly this insight into the life of one of the most gifted footballers of his time is just too normal. Ryan Giggs' name conjures images of terrified defences and fantastic goals while plying his trade for Manchester United and Wales, but that, sadly, is not the whole picture. This book throws open the doors on the other aspects of the superstar's life--the more mundane aspects.

So while Chasing Perfection won't be everybody's cup of tea, it opens a few doors that will interest United supporters and wannabe Ryan Giggs everywhere.

As in the title Chasing Perfection i think Colin Cameron has found it also with an in depth look at possibly one of the greatest players to have donned a welsh jersey it looks into his mental preparation before games aswell as his physical preparation with great photos by John Peters it makes a cracking read
