Product Description

Product Description

Chase Vodka has been produced by Chase Distillery in Herefordshire, England, since its launch in 2008. This premium vodka was crowned "The World's Best Vodka" and awarded double gold at the World San Francisco Spirits Competition, Chase Vodka is Britain's first and only potato vodka, making it a unique and demanded spirit. Made with the best, full pedigree potatoes: grown, mashed, fermented and distilled at the Chase family farm in Herefordshire. This fine spirit is distilled three times through a bespoke copper pot still, twice through a 70ft rectification column with 42 bubble plates and then cold chill filtered and bottled by hand. The smooth velvety spirit with the taste of buttery mashed potato is a pure delight Tasting notes : NOSE - Light white pepper, hint of creamy potato. Very clean. PALATE - Creamy turning clean black pepper, waxy oiliness and macademia nuts. FINISH - Clean and rounded. Smooth potato finish with mineral notes. The best way to try Chase vodka is neat and chilled

Product Description

Chase English Potato Vodka has been awarded 1st place (double gold medal), in the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits competition from an entry field of 115!

Formerly 'TYRRELLS - Artisan Potato Vodka', the Vodka Masters 2008 Gold Medal Winner has had a makeover.

Why Chase? 'When you are proud of making something put you name on it."
William Chase founder of Chase Distillery

A wholesome buttery scent on the nose, with a full bodied and creamy texture.

Chase Vodka is complex on the palate, with notes of mashed potato and butter, leading onto a slightly smoked almond finish, with a hint of black pepper.

The same potatoes that make ther award-winning Tyrrells crisps go into making this vodka. They have the perfect soil and the best equipment for growing spuds, and they can go from field to fermentation in under a mile.

Chase Distillery is the first and only company to produce an English Potato Vodka, and tastes much smoother than grain and rye based spirits. Chase retains a thick, buttery taste from the potatoes, and once they have stripped the alcohol from the mash mixture they can feed it to our cows, so every bit of the potato is put to good use.

This vodka is velvety smooth, with very warm neutral taste. It was served to me at room temperature once (I don't drink warm vodka!) and it still tasted great.
Chase definitely learnt something from Poles!
Please note that description of this product on Amazon (sold by Fine Wine Sellers) is slightly incorrect-apples are used in the Naked Chase Apple Vodka.

Was looking for a different vodka as a present. Great looking bottle and winner of best vodka in the world award, even beating the Russians! Being from potato and British makes it that bit more interesting with a distinctive and good taste.

Having finished a bottle of grey goose I thought i'd give this a try and boy I'm glad I did!

So superior to other vodka's I will struggle to justify drinking anything other than this or grey goose. The only negative being even being sparing it only lasted 3 weeks.

Being a lover of Grey Goose I was keen to try this vodka, expecting a similar experience.

On opening you are greeted with the most delicious vanilla aroma, strong enough to make you think you have actually purchased a flavoured vodka - a good start! Pouring a small taster however produced (for me anyway) slightly disappointing results that certainly don't mirror other reviews.

I find this vodka quite harsh and without the silky smoothness of Grey Goose. Disappointed? Absolutely! There is a definite burn as it goes down, similar - dare I say it - to Smirnoff.

I forced myself to try it again & again & again over a few days thinking that what I'd eaten prior to my first sip affected my taste interpretation, but alas no. Each swallow gave me the same result. I was really hoping to have found another favourite but alas, not this time....

So good, husband has already drunk the lot.. will have to buy more. If you looking for something a wee bit different from the Russian vodka's this is the one. A little more pricey than shop brands, but you simply can't get this British Vodka anywhere else except online now (shame as we use to be able to get it locally!)
