Spoof chase thriller starring Charlie Sheen as an escaped con (innocent) who kidnaps millionaire's daughter Kristy Swanson at a garage when two cops accidentally rumble him. Sheen and Swanson then fall in love while they're being pursued across the USA by countless cops and journalists.

The Chase stars Charlie Sheen as an (innocent) escaped convict who kidnaps Kristy Swanson, the daughter of a local property magnate when police go into the petrol station he is in and the stolen car he is driving comes over the police radio. Complete cheese from the outset, there is something strangely enjoyable about The Chase. There are some bizarre scenes like dead bodies falling out of a medical truck on the highway and a helicopter blowing up from one pistol gunshot. Also, the acting from the supporting cast (which includes Henry Rollins and members of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers) is so hilariously overdone it makes you laugh throughout. A surprisingly fun guilty pleasure worthy of a cheap purchase. 3/5

okay, suspend your disbelief....but this is actually an excellent film.
I first saw it on TV YEARS ago, and yes it's fun. Yes, it's cheesy. Yes it's got an implausibly hot blonde in it.
But the best part about the movie is the way it lampoons the american media, and their methods of reporting...well, pretty much anything.
Highly, highly recommended and at this price, you literally cannot go wrong.

This is one of Charlie Sheene's best films and definately worth getting whilst it is still available.
It's one you can watch again and again, nice sense of humour throughout and good acting from Miss Swanson too (what a babe).

Such a great classic, ok maybe not the best acting but hilarious script which holds well for a film about a cop chase.
