Whan Janis Finch storms out of a family row, it starts a chain of events which transforms her whole life. This book was one of the best books i have read. It was full emotions happy times and upsetting times. But things all seem to go wrong when Janis's mother passes away and one of the band members sends the television crew. It was a brill book and I would recommend it for anyone. I enjoyed it and i'm 12 so it would be suitable for any age really.

Normally I wouldn't read a book like this (I'm more into fantasy), but somehow I was hooked! This book is about about how even if your life is in the gutter, you can always climb back out.
Jannis Finch is a low grading student, with no future, and whos step-dad is driving her to the limit. But after an encounter with a rough and tough band, she's on her way to fame and fortune. But will the band accept her as a true member, or will they always see her as the thorn in their side?
Abook showing that sucess dosen't come as easy as we all think, and that sacrifices will be made if you want to be the best.

im finding it hard to believe that its just over 10 years since i first read this book when i was just 13!!!! ive read it several times since as it makes for good reading. an original book that i cant compare to anything....its just a shame there was no sequel.....

I loved this book, it was different & refreshing. It looks at relationships in a different way to your usual teen books, brill!
