I see another management failure from Roxette over the fact this album has not been released here in the UK! I cannot understand the mentally when Roxette played to 12,000 people at Wembley in November this year and have scheduled 3 dates in the UK for July 2012!
This is a great album a double disc containing demos from the latest album `Charm School' they are good but missing are the unpolished versions of Marie Fredriksson's demo's, I am sure they exist but for some reason they are not here and that is a tad disappointing. Still as a fan I am happy with this album, and the chance to get these demo's within a year of the original album release.
Roll on the release of Tourism 2 in 2012 some fabulous recorded stuff coming from the current Roxette tour!

This release is really geared toward the true Rox collector. If you're looking to complete your collection of the band's demos (often found spread across multiple bonus discs and import singles) then this package is for you. It's nice to have the entire album presented in both its finished and raw forms. But the true find here, is the excellent remix of 'Speak to Me' [Bassflow Remake]. This mix takes the song to a whole new level. Haunting, beautifully done, and worth the price of the entire package. Check it out!

Per Gessle's song ideas!

Charm School Revisited is a great package for any fan of Roxette who wants to know how they make their awesome brand of power pop music. This package is especially interesting for fans of Per Gessle's amazing songwriting skills as the entire Charm School album is presented in demo form with just acoustic guitar and Per Gessle's melodic vocals. Musicians especially will love how the lack of production shows what a Roxette song sounds like before the Swedes dress it up with all the bells and whistles available in the studio. The first disc contains the produced song versions of Charm School while the second disc contains Per Gessle's demos plus some cool remixes of the powerballad "Speak To Me" and the party rocker "She's Got Nothing On (But The Radio)". Charm School Revisited is highly recommended to hardcore Roxette fans and anyone interested in quality songwriting. By the way, I just saw Roxette live in Australia twice this week and they have lost none of their live power blowing the crowd away with a really fun set full of high quality power pop including songs from this amazing Charm School album.

Great Bonus for the Devoted

This is a really nice bonus for the hardcore Roxette fan, especially those of us who also enjoy Per Gessle on his own. There are three aspects to this collection:
First, the Charm School album. It seems useless to include that here, because I find it very unlikely that anyone buying this did not already buy Charm School when it came out. However, since Charm School included a bonus live disc, and the price of this (downloading it, at least, as of this writing) is reasonable, I don't feel ripped off by either purchase.
Second, there are Per's demos, which make up most of this release's reason for being. The demos are a real treat. It's particularly interesting to hear how Per already has Marie's voice in mind. He has such a great ability to write for her and play to their strengths as a duo, so it's fascinating to hear how he approaches the songs before the songs are fully produced. I think Charm School is a very strong album, so the songs play well in their basic form, even though Per's voice can't always do what he knows will be done properly by Marie later.
Third, there are a few remixes to close out the set. The first, Speak to Me, is the best, and I also like the harder take on She's Got Nothing On (Adrian Lux remix), though the Adam Rickfors remix doesn't do much for me. They're bonus b-sides, basically, so it's all right if they're not all masterpieces.
Overall, I'm just really glad to have this extra set of Roxette music. This is a great band, and their return has been an all-around pleasure.
