3.0 out of 5 stars Great series. AWFUL packaging. 10 Jun 2009
Format:DVD
It's great news that Season 3 has FINALLY been released here (three years after it's American release).

There are some fun episodes here, and whilst it wasn't exactly a breakthrough - in fact it's just more of the same following Seasons 1 and 2 - this year is notable for two reasons.

1: The much-hyped return of Farrah Fawcett Majors to the role of original angel Jill. It's a joy to watch not only the original three angels together but also the new chemistry between Farrah and her replacement, Cheryl Ladd (playing Jill's little sister) as they work together for the first time. Farrah appears in three episodes, and would return for three more in Season 4. Farrah's appearances were the result of a highly publicised court battle with the show's creators, after her initial sudden departure. Thankfully, the tension doesn't show on the screen. It's just like old times.

2: The departure of Kate Jackson. Season 3 would be Kate's last outing as Sabrina - also said to be due to offscreen tension on the set. Thankfully, she works her magic right to the end, and the final show is a very appropriate ending, as the girls reminisce about past cases.

Guest-stars continued to flood in this year. My personal favourite in Season 3 is a young Jamie Lee Curtis, as a pro-golfer.

Sadly, the package itself is lacking on two fronts - a woeful lack of extras (well - none, actually), and a truly disastrous case and disc-holder.

There is no cardboard slipcase to match the other seasons. It comes in a thick clamshell case. Inside, the hinged disc holder is very fragile. The plastic is easily snapped, and the moving central disc holder is awful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Charlie's most heavenly Angels are back! 25 Sep 2006

Charlie's most heavenly Angels together!, August 27, 2006

Reviewer: S.A.S.D - See all my reviews

This is a very special season for all fans specially because Farrah Fawcett is back for a few special guest star episodes and this is the last season for Kate Jackson. All them are lovely, it is nice to see how Farrah and Cheryl Ladd mix so well, and Jaclyn Smith! The episodes are mostly enjoyable, although first season is the best, followed closely by second; the third season is also very watchable. Can't wait to have seasons 4 and 5! Hey, Sony guys, we fans want Thiffany and Julie!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hello Again Jill,Bye Bree 29 Aug 2009
By Gregory Shanley VINE VOICE
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
The third series of "Charlie's Angels" returns, the big event, being the return of orginal Angel,Jill Munroe, played by the late and much missed Farrah Fawcett,in three episodes,Farrah making another three episodes in season 4.
Farrah's first guest slot is "Angel Come Home",when Jill is lured back to LA and real tragedy hits Jill in this story.
"Mother Angel" sees Jill looking after a young, difficult girl, who has witnessed a murder, though Jill and the Angels don't believe her,at first.
"Angel In A Box" sees Kris(Cheryl Ladd)kidnapped and the whole thing is a lure to get Jill to come looking for her sister,it is great to see all three orginal Angels and Bosley(David Boyle)reunited and Farrah and Cheryl work great as sisters.
This is the last series to feature Kate Jackson as Sabrina and her humour and natural leader qualities are really missed,in this series we see Sabrina fall in love with guest star Dean Martin in the two part season opener "Angels In Vegas",another two parter that works really well is "Terror On Skies",Kelly's(Jaclyn Smith)boyfriend in that being her real life husband,at the time, making his third appearance on the show.
Bosley gets a large slice of the action in "Angels In Waiting",when Bosley tired of being predictable, gives the Angels clues to find him, unaware that he is being persued by a man after revenge.
"Angel On My Mind" is one of my favourite episodes,Kris loses her memory and all praise to Cheryl Ladd for her performance in this episode as Kris wanders on a beach, vulnerable and confused.
So enjoy series three of "Charlie's Angels",to me the best series of all five.
I am also looking forward to series 4 of "Charlie's Angels",I liked new Angel Tiffany Welles(Shelley Hack)who I feel got a raw deal, when after only one series was replaced by Tanya Roberts.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Morning Angels, Good Morning Charlie. 19 May 2011

If you have seen the first 2 series of Charlie's Angels you will not be disappointed with this series. I think Cheryl Ladd is a great replacement for Farrah Fawcett as she is a bit more gutsy than Jill. But what's great about this series is that there are a couple of episodes when Farrah and Cheryl feature along with they other two. A great series for anybody. I never saw it when it first came out as I wasn't born yet! However I discovered these series when I was 14 and fell in love with them. A million miles better than the recent films which are dull and poor depictions of the characters. Great as a gift for a teenage girl or for nostalgic reasons!

5.0 out of 5 stars Series 3 is a winner! 16 Jan 2011
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
I have to say that I really enjoyed series 3 of Charlie's Angels. The beauty, glamour and feistiness of Sabrina (Kate Jackson), Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) and Kris (Cheryl Ladd) are omnipresent and some excellent guest stars occur as well as proto-Angel Jill (Farrah Fawcett) and Bosley is his usual perky and patriarchal self. The Angels solve mysteries under those heavenly blue LA 70's skies. It is a worthy addition to series 1 and 2. Kate Jackson is however sorely missed in series 4 though Shelley Hack (Tiffany Wells) did a great job as her short-lived replacement.
