Product Description

Product Description

They were the biggest Ranger company in Vietnam, and the best. For eighteen months, John L. Rotundo and Don Ericson braved the test of war at its most bloody and most raw, specializing in ambushing the enemy and fighting jungle guerillas using their own tactics. From the undiluted high of a "contact" with the enemy to the anguished mourning of a fallen comrade, they experienced nearly every emotion known to man--most of all, the power and the pride of being the finest on America's front lines.

I am the daughter of John Rotundo, the author of Charlie Rangers. I read his book when it first came out a few years ago. I thought it was great then and still do to this day. I know when my dad wrote this book, he put his heart and soul into reliving his experiences in Vietnam so that he could share that with others. My father is very proud of his book as I am of him.

This books describes in detail the pitfalls of war along with some of the humor our service men must incure. At times, this book brings tears to the eyes and there are times when they pull their outlandish pranks. This true story of Vietnam should me mandatory reading for all military personnel, past and present and not be neglected by individuals who have not served their country.

As a veteran myself, it reminds me of what we ask young kids to do and they do it well.
