My two children are huge Charlie and Lola fans, and they insisted on me buying the album, so I did, thinking it would be annoying kids stuff, but I was very pleasantly suprised, its a BRILLIANT album.
We have it on the car every morning, and I am becoming quite addicted to The Bestest in the Barn. I also have two very happy little girls, who dance like mad everytime the CD comes on! I highly recommend this if you want to have happy kids!

As you would expect this is all the best bits of the music from the TV series expanded and improved. If you like the music in the series you'll love this CD. It features all the original catchy tunes from the series (the dancing dogs being my personal favourite) and is a wonderfully happy album. It makes a refreshing change from the normal monotonous kids albums and will make adults and children smile, and is a pleasure to listen to.

This is a very cleverly produced CD. It is the background/incidental music and some main themes from the TV series with dialogue from the characters over the top of some of it. Together these, kind of, illustrate the story the music comes from. Its not, however, a simple "story-record" some parents might remember. Very dancable, my 4 year old boy and 18 month old girl love it and they don't need to see C&L to be able to enjoy them. Both of them can recognise the music and the older one can tell you which stories they come from.
Musically it's very rich in different instruments and clever arrangements and timings, but catchy too, nothing elitist or inaccessable here, just good musical fun. The other positive reviews say it all too. The negative ones? Well I guess you just can't please all of the people all of the time!
