I was asked to make a quilt and use Charley Harper birds as my inspiration. This colouring book was absolutely ideal as it is full of simple shapes which I could trace and adapt to make appliqué birds on the quilt. He gets the very essence of birds using simple outlines . Brilliant

I bought this as a gift, and after leafing through it, I am having a really hard time wrapping it up and shipping it off. The drawings are just beautiful and I want to sit down with my Prismacolors and color every page- and I'm almost 30!

I actually bought this coloring book not for my children, but for me and my husband. We are big Charley Harper fans, and I thought it would be fun for us to sit together and color when the kids are in bed (maybe make it a date? gotta be creative with small kids and a limited budget for going out and babysitters). I love that they have perforated each page so you can easily tear it out to color it or display it. I think my 2 year old son is jealous he doesn't get to color in this book!
