Hello George yes the round knob at the bottom turns fully in either direction to either allow the chair to recline or to simply lock the mechanism to stop it,like the other reviewer states pulling out the elevation lever allows this ,its a great chair all in all!

There is a slight curvature on the armrest. With the chair at the lowest level the front part where the wrist rests has a height of about 64cm and where the elbow rests has a height of about 67cm.

Hi. I am sitting comfortably on the chair at the moment, and weigh just under 15 stones. There is still plenty of room between the arms, and I expect that it could take a heavier person OK. Assembly needs 2 people using the packing box as a support. Ensure after using for a few days that the screws on the arms are re-tightened.

Hey, I measured the arms below the rests and they are 44 x 2.8 x 27cm L x W x H. This is not including the "rests", as requested. I hope this helped. :)

I am 6ft tall. The chair needs significant force to tilt it back, so I never actually use it in a reclining position. When I do the chair will only support my head if I tilt my head some way back, and even then only if I don't sit too erect. So the answer is essentially "no".

Sorry, I chucked all the packaging shortly after receiving it. On the Q/A on the Amazon site there's this info however : "In my home, what with people tending to sit on each other the chair would need to regular exceed 127Kg is it able to do this? 11 days ago Hi Unfortunalely I work in imperial but when I asked I was told it was fine up to 25 Stone (158K)." Hope this helps
