I have written stories all my life, having been fortunate to have vivid story ideas in my head. I have published three novels to date: The Shuttered Room, Falling Awake (previously titled Domestic Bliss) and A Hard Lesson. I am working on my fourth novel. I will never put pen to paper unless the story idea potentially is thrilling to write, possesses scenes that are embarrassing, odd or funny. I never write to a formula or write for money (although the latter comes in very useful) because such a book in my experience will never get finished.
I have learned lots from my writing experience and have therefore devised a blog, Writers' Remedies, sharing my experiences of writing. The craft of writing is very different to having a story idea. Advice on writing style and pacing the story can be found within.
I have also written screenplays, and have found this craft complimentary to writing novels. Advice on both can be found on my blog.
My novels are available on Kindle and as print version.
