It is hardly necessary or appropriate to review the works of Charles Dickens. However, this delightful little collector's edition is an enchanting way to renew or form a relationship with the author's works. The books are (probably) A5 in size and are well made with cloth covers, gold page edges and a fine paper and print. Illustration are selected originals. The pages fall open comfortably and suggest longevity of binding and spine. The volumes come in a slip case. The selection is a fair one : Christmas Carol; Great Expectations; David Copperfield; Nicolas Nickleby and Bleak House. There are others and I shall certainly get them as soon as possible.

These combine the portability of a paperback with the quality of a fine collectible book. The thicker volumes are just fun! There's something about a tiny little book that's two and a half inches thick. I've carried all of them around with me at one time or other. They hold up much better to repeated readings than paperbacks.

I sincerely hope CRW eventually publishes all of Dickens' works in this format. It makes them so accessible.

Bought this product for my wife, she loved it. Great quality, Gold leaf pages very nice touch. It has an old fashioned feel to the whole set which adds to another old authentic feel

there is something strange about a book that fits in your pocket and yet has gold leafing on the pages. It feels perverse yet comforting...

I assume that the job of the reviewer here is not to review Bleak House, Great Expectations, Nicholas Nickelby, David Copperfield and Christmas Carol - that would be too much work.

all in all this is a good set for the price i paid, which will probably go up. However, it must remain seperate from all the other books because it is a weird size.

Terrible value for money. Very small books, for such great titles, print quality is mediocre, and Paper quality is ridiculously poor. If it wasn't for the fact that it would cost me more to return these books from an international location, i wouldn't have thought twice about it. The word Collector's here is truly misleading, the very essence of a Collector's edition is fine print, good quality paper and a decent book size for pleasurable reading... This presents nothing of the above!
